The Magnuson Stevens Act, originally designed to keep foreign interests from invading our waters and destroying our resources has evolved over the years into something that is now taking away our own ability to make a living on the water and even restricting the recreational fisherman from fishing our own waters.

Many people are only just now becoming aware of the freedoms that we are losing because of this Act and the impact that it will have on not only the commercial and charterfishering industry but also on the recreational fisherman.
