Vessel Monitoring System for Commercial Fishermen

The Gulf Council requires commercial fisherman to install a Vessel Monitoring System (VMS)on their boat in order to fish in the Gulf of Mexico. A while back Capt. Marlin Scott interviewed Capt. Lee Starling to find out about a new twist to this rule. There is a possibility that soon, charter captains fishing the Gulf of Mexico will be required to have one also.

We can’t stress enough how important is to keep up on the changes like this if you are a captain, charter or commercial so that you don’t run into a problem.

Bilge Pumps
