A good day on the billfish calendar, as today witnessed the first day of the first of the Bisbee’s tournaments this year.  And a big day it was for the Dreamweaver, catching a 581-pound black marlin.

Here’s the calendar for Bisbee’s tournaments for this year…with the Black and Blue boasting the largest purse of any billfish tournament in the world…

East Cape Offshore Tournament

Expected boats: 75

Expected purse: $400,000

Los Cabos Offshore Tournament

Expected boats: 70

Expected purse: $300,000

Bisbee’s Black and Blue Tournament

Expected boats: 200

Expected purse: $4 million

We’ll of course be tracking these tournaments on billfishreport.com.
